Ireland under George II, 1727-1760.  Young head coinage, 1736-1755, with large lettering, 1741-1746.  A 1741 Halfpenny of 9 Strings, S.6606, 8.48 g., coin orientation, plain edge.  Laureate bust left of the young George II left, legend around GEORGIUS .    II . REX ., with the pellets just below middle height.  Top ribbon to middle of X.  Rev. crowned harp of 9 strings divides date at bottom 17  41, with H I B E R N I A . around at top.  Left side of crown band to string No. 2, a scarcer variety.  Good Fine with some verdigris and mild porosity.  $80.
