Patrick Byrne, 31 West St., Drogheda, owned the Imperial Hotel in 1881.  In 1856 and 1870, it was owned by Thomas Simcock.  There is no hotel listed in Slater's Directory for 1856 and 1870, as owned by a Byrne, neither do the P.V.O. records record a Byrne owned Hotel there in the 1860's or early 1870's.  The reverse dates this token to the years 1861-1872.

About EF w rich light brown surfaces.  Rare.  $400.
