M[urtagh] K[avanagh], Dublin, 2 pence pub token.  AE 23 mm., 5.59 g.  Rice 213; Todd 144; Batty 1607; French 18.  M.K. in Gothic letters, 37 City Quay.  Rx Bust of Queen Victoria w I C P below truncation, VICTORIA REGINA around.

Todd identifies the owner as Murtagh Kavanagh, who was a grocer and spirit merchant, 1857-1859, a grocer and spirit merchant with a ship store warehouse, 1860-1866, and a grocer with a ship store warehouse, 1866-1868.  This is the piece misidentified by Batty No. 1407, as having initials M.R., instead of M.K.
