Northern Ireland, Belfast Banking Company Limited, 50 pounds sterling, 7 Dec. 1917.  Pick 154a.; Blake BB 57b., 54 branches.  Red on brown underlay.  Serial No. O.239; signature R. MacDonald. 

PCGS Fine 15.  A good fine w multiple folds, erased graffiti on back, and top edge a bit frattered.  Nevertheless, extremely attractive and a pleasure for the eye.  Excessively Rare, no other known in any collection.  $15K.

Blake notes, "The 50 Pound note design is similar to that of the 20 pound except that there is no coloured central panel, just an outline red FIFTY.  The only known surviving issued notes of this type are dated 7th December 1917, and 400 notes of this date were cancelled unissued."
